3M Peltor has released an upgraded version of their popular LiteCom headsets with various new features and improvements.
The 3MTM PELTORTM WSTM LiteCom PRO III headset has advanced enhancements that are built tough for working professionals.

3M Peltor LiteCom Pro II
This intrinsically safe LiteCom Pro II headset was built with the same idea of keep people safe in high-noise environments. This headset is widely popular among workers in manufacturing, oil and gas work and assembly line too. Many of the features of this headset are the same but the newer version has some advanced improvements to give the user versatility.

What's the difference?
The new Bluetooth connectivity feature on the LiteCom III allows for seamless connection to any external devices*. This allows workers to be connected wirelessly to two mobile devices. The Bluetooth line of sight is around 2000 ft and allows you to talk on the cell phone and radio simultaneously. If Bluetooth is not for you, there is an optional external jack that lets you connect to a smartphone, radio, shoulder mic, or any other device.
As mentioned before, the WS LiteCom III can be integrated with similar professional radios with its built-in programmable analog and digital two-way radio. The two radios also have user-friendly controls that allow for the voice-guided menu so it’s even more hands-free.

The battery life within the two headsets is a lot different. The LiteCom II fully charged will run for about 14-17 hours between charges. The LiteCom III will only run for about 8 hours before needing a charge again. There is a power save feature that increases the run time to about 12 hours. The headset will power off after two hours of non-use. When the battery is running low, an audio alert will sound informing the user.
Designed for Comfort
Both headsets have many style options available. There is neckband, headband, and hard har mount model configurations. They come in three different colors. Black, Blue and a light blue. The light blue color indicates an intrinsically safe headband. The two headsets are designed for extended wear with their deep earcups and wide soft padded headband. The headsets are lightweight and without cords, so you won’t have to worry about the cords becoming tangled.
The two models both have a noise-canceling microphone attached to the headset. The microphones allow for clear communication even in the noisiest environments. The Peltor WS LiteCom Pro III IS and the LiteCom Pro II has two environmental microphones on the exterior of the headset, that enables for level-dependent hearing protection and ambient listening. It also allows having face-to-face conversations and the ability to hear warning signals.
